Sotheby’s International Realty expanded into New York with the addition Finger Lakes Realty Partners to their network. This marks its 59th office. Sotheby’s announced Wednesday that the firm will now be known as Finger Lakes Sotheby’s International Realty.
Since more than 12 years, Jerry Morrissey, a broker, has owned and operated the Skaneateles firm. It serves central New York, the Finger Lakes and areas up to Lake Ontario.
“Jerry, his team have been operating within the region for several year and have grown to be one of the most successful independently-owned companies in the area,” stated Philip White, president of Sotheby’s International Realty in a prepared statement.
The firm is made up of real estate associates, partners, and Ray Tapio, Jacqueline Jones, Jacqueline Jones, Tom Morrissey and Ray Tapio.

Morrissey was raised in Central New York, the Finger Lakes region. His professional career spans over two decades in the realty industry. Morrissey was the founder and CEO of Prolac in 1993. He later became an associate broker at Remax Masters.
Morrissey, along with his partners, started FLR, an independent boutique real estate firm in the Finger Lakes Region. Morrissey was responsible for the business growth initiatives.
White says that the Finger Lakes region is a “hidden treasure” with its lakes and beautiful landscapes. It is a popular second-home market for buyers who value lifestyle when searching for a home.
The Sotheby’s International Realty network was founded in 1976. It currently has over 26,000 independent sales associates in 1,075 offices across 81 countries and territories. There are also 48 company-owned brokerage offices located in metropolitan and resort markets.
Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates LLC manages the affiliate network. Both entities are subsidiaries of Anywhere Real Estate Inc.
