Kendall Bonner moves to eXp

Kendall Bonner, a Tampa-based broker and leader of the team, announced that she was moving her 17-person team to eXp Realty just days after announcing the merger between her firm RE/MAX Capital Realty and RE/MAX Alliance Group.
Bonner stated that “Something with COVID… I can’t pinpoint what it was but it just wore me out as a broker-owner, and a leader.” “I felt frustrated that my agents and the community couldn’t get more from me.”
Bonner stated that she was able to see two “marginalized” groups in the realty industry after attending conferences in the first half of 2021: new agents and those whose influence is not large enough.
Bonner stated that this realization inspired her to create her real estate company, the Kendall Bonner Team.
She said, “I have a talent for market, lead generation systems, and technology tools, and that passion wasn’t being used in the brokerage model. So I started my team to see if it was possible to accomplish what I wanted as non-producing agent.” “I realized after about a year and half that this was my passion, and the new direction that I wanted to take.
Bonner realized this and began to search for a new home for her RE/MAX affiliate. This led to the RE/MAX Alliance Group merger.
Peter Crowley, a broker and co-owner at RE/MAX Alliance Group, wrote an email, “We are tremendously thrilled to work with the Lutz RE/MAX Capital Realty team that’s now part of RE/MAX Alliance Group.” We strongly believe in the value proposition, strengths and advantages of RE/MAX and we look forward to working with the new agents. We wish Kendall all the best in her endeavors.”
Bonner decided that eXp was the best choice when it came time to find a new home for her and her team.
She said, “I wanted to work alongside leaders and other people with influence who were on a similar path as me.” Although owning a brokerage is a local business, I have been able to grow my network and make connections beyond my immediate area. It felt natural to join a brokerage that aligns with my values.
Michael Valdes, chief growth officer at eXp Realty stated in an emailed statement that Bonner’s decision was “proud to welcome Kendall and her entire team to the eXp Family.” Kendall is an industry icon and has won numerous industry awards for her work. She is not only a top broker/owner but also an accomplished leader and entrepreneur. She is a Florida-licensed attorney and has been involved in real estate for over 10 years. In 2014, she opened her own brokerage company. Kendall’s enthusiasm and energy is infectious and her influence can be felt far and wide. We are thrilled that Kendall chose eXp to grow her business and team, and can’t wait for what she will do!
Bonner will be running her team at eXp and working with Veronica Figueroa, founder of the Figueroa Team, to promote Realty.com. This is in addition to being Realty.com’s CEO Lance Custen, and Glenn Sanford, eXp CEO and founding CEO.
Bonner stated, “I love lead generation and marketing so when Lance and the Realty.com product came to my attention a few years back, I was very interested and really wanted to be a part of that network but it was an exclusive platform and they already had Tampa partners.” “Really, this market is changing where consumers are more reserved and have greater need of assistance. It is more important than ever that they be connected with a real estate professional who can help them.”
Bonner is looking forward and excited to use eXp’s technology in order to build and strengthen existing relationships.
She said that Real Estate is about building relationships across boundaries and technology allows us to do this. “I am excited to connect with other industry leaders across the country and team leaders, and to support one another.”
