Egbert Perry, former chairman of Fannie Mae, joins Anywhere board

Anywhere Real Estate has increased its board of directors. Egbert L.J., a veteran in the industry, has been appointed to the real estate conglomerate. According to an announcement made Thursday, Perry has been added to the board.
“We are thrilled to welcome Egbert Perry on the Anywhere Board of Director.” Egbert is a highly respected and experienced business leader with extensive understanding of the real estate and mortgage market and corporate governance,” Michael J. Williams (Anywhere’s board chair) said in a statement. He brings a wealth expertise and experience to our Board and we are grateful to have him on the Anywhere Board.
Perry has 35 years of experience in the real estate industry and is currently the chairman and CEO at The Integral Group LLC. He founded it in 1993 and it is a real estate, community development, and investment management company.
Perry released a statement saying that it was an honor to join the Anywhere Board of Directors. He also expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to work with Anywhere’s management team and board colleagues as the company moves forward in its next phase of transformation.
Perry served as chairman of the Fannie Mae board of directors from 2008 to 2018, in addition to his roles at The Integral Group.
Ryan Schneider, Anywhere’s CEO, stated that Eggbert brings significant real estate expertise. He also acts as an innovative champion for housing. “I believe his extensive experience will help Anywhere not just simplify the real estate transaction for consumers, but also create more equitable access to homeownership for all.”
